Following are the three phases to develop the Comprehensive Land Use Plan:

Developing the Grays Harbor County Comprehensive Land Use Plan began in June 2025 by engaging County residents to gather feedback on needs, challenges, and priorities to define a vision for long-term planning. Community input informed the shared vision statement, the County adopted in November 2025.

Using community feedback from the Visioning phase, the County will develop a draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). We anticipate that these documents will be ready to share for public review and comment in early 2026.

Following the comment period, the County will incorporate feedback and develop a Final Comprehensive Land Use Plan and a Final EIS, anticipated to be completed in late 2026.

Upcoming engagement opportunities

We anticipate the next engagement events will occur in early 2026. At that time, you will have the opportunity to review and provide public comments on the draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
